The problem with having a choice, is that you have to make a decision. The problem with making a decision, is living with the results of that choice.
I cannot decide if I like these new glasses or not!
The choice was made as a confident, yet spontaneous decision; I simply fell in love with these frames at first sight. Now they sit on my dresser staring back at me. My old frames are just that. Old. My new frames are sleek, black. Like something from the future that found its way into this day and age. I experiment with wearing them within my house.
“Hey, nice to meet you,” I say to the mirror, cocking one eye and giving a toothy smile. “Oh, these things? I decided it was time for a change. What do you think?” My face pulls into a serious expression as I tilt my head to the upper left, then lower right. Turning back to center I let my face sink. “Yeah, I don’t like them either” I say putting them back into their fancy casing. The world becomes murky again as I put on my old, fingerprint covered and scratched old glasses. Old reliables.
Since I began this journey at looking into new glasses back in June 2007, it has taken a great deal of my time, money and effort to reach this point. But I made the choice now, and I am forever looking back. Choosing sucks.
